UPDATE: Opportunities to Visit and Learn about Forestdale Primary and Oak Ridge Intermediate Schools

Update: PreK – 6 Families, pull out your calendars! There are a variety of ways for kids and adults to start to know the Oak Ridge and Forestdale Schools, and they are listed below.

Forestdale School, K-2

June 4th – Evening Information Open House and Celebration of Summer Learning

6:00-8:00 pm

Families are invited to come together to learn about all the learning opportunities families can create during the lazy, hazy days of summer… and to tour the Forestdale School and hear Mr. Smith & Mr. Dintino talk about their exciting plans for next year.

In August, there will be a Kindergarten Play Date!

The PTAs traditionally plan an opportunity for incoming kindergarteners to get together with new friends and this year is no exception! The date has yet to be determined – we will reach out to each family via email to share the details.

Oak Ridge School, Grades 3-6

June 8th & 9th – Parent Information Nights – 6:30-7:30

UPDATE: Out of respect for families who have students in the Wing School Spring Concert we are going to reverse the order of the grade nights; the dates below reflect the change.

June 8th – parents of incoming 5th & 6th graders
June 9th – parents of incoming 3rd & 4th graders

We will recommend that parents of 3rd and 4th graders come on June 9th and parents of 5th and 6th graders come on the 8th simply to allow for better parking and flow in the building; however, the presentations will be the same so folks can come on whichever day is best.

This presentation is designed for parents and will provide parents the opportunity to tour the building and to ask questions.

June 16th – Informal Tour through the building for students and families

Week of August 24th – Four social events, one for each grade level. Specific dates and times to come.

These gatherings will give the kids a chance to reconnect with their friends once they know their teachers, enjoy a cool treat and take part in a scavenger hunt through the building.
