High School Spirit – 2014!
The newest lip dub from SHS students
The creation of a Lip Dub as an expression of school spirit is an idea a group of SHS students started exploring during their sophomore year. Michael Kristy has now created two Lip Dubs, each one a unique expression of the graduating class as well as the underclassmen at SHS. The 2014 Lip Dub uses the song “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Lewis.
According to Wikipedia, a lip dub is a type of video that combines lip synching and audio dubbing to make a music video. It is made by filming individuals or a group of people lip synching while listening to a song or any recorded audio then dubbing over it in post editing with the original audio of the song. A quick Google search indicates that the first Lip Dub was done by a group of German students in 2008.
