What excites you about teaching in Sandwich?

I am very excited about my new role as the Technology Integration Specialist at Forestdale Elementary School. I am very happy to have the opportunity to bring creativity and productivity, through the use of technology, into the Forestdale classrooms. I am also looking forward to getting to know the staff and students.

What is your favorite teaching memory from the past few years?

My favorite teaching memory from the past few years is witnessing one of my most active  (wiggliest) second grade students, write and illustrate his own series of books based on a poem we had read in class, “Wiggly Woo.”

What is your favorite memory as a student?

In third grade, everyone in my class put on a puppet show. We worked for months on the puppets and the script. The teacher was famous for his puppet shows! I remember the whole experience very clearly.

What might we be surprised to know about you?

You may be surprised to know that I play many instruments, including saxophone, guitar, bass, drums, and piano and I am also a certified music teacher!
