Pirates of the Chilibean –Great Bowls of Fire Chili Fest Is November 8, 2014

The Fourth Annual “Pirates of the Chilibean –Great Bowls of Fire Chili Fest” is happening Saturday, November 8 at the Clubhouse Sports Bar & Grille, Sandwich Hollows Golf Course, from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Sandwich, the Chili Fest will feature more than two dozen different chilis, including entries from local restaurants like Sam Diego’s, Hoagie’s Diner, the BBC, Surf’s Up, the Ninety-Nine Restaurant, Burrito Bistro, Beech Tree Cantina, the Pilot House and many others.

Great amateur chilis will be available, as well –and all are competing for bragging rights in eight award categories.

In addition, Pixy103’s on-air personality Matty B. will be broadcasting live, and the “Amber Crowley Band” and “Turtleback” will perform.

Proceeds from the Chilifest benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod, the Challenger Club of Cape Cod and the Sandwich High School Athletic Boosters Club.

Tickets to attend the event are $20, and can be purchased in advance online using any major credit card. They can also be purchased at the Jewel Box, Post Office Square, Sandwich MA, through the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, the Challenger Club of Cape Cod, or the Sandwich High School Athletic Boosters Club, or at the door.
