On January 6, 2015 at 6pm the Sandwich High School Technology Team, along with School Resource Office Christa Cabral and Social Worker Susan Coutinho, will be hosting a parent workshop titled: “Empowering Parents with Social Media”.
All parents of students in grades 7-12 are invited to attend this evening. The event will take place in the high school library media center and will include sessions on current popular social media sites, legal issues surrounding social media use and tips for parents on how to monitor students’ technology use in the digital age.
We hope you will join us as we partner to cultivate an awareness of the role social media plays in the life of students in grades 7-12. Participants will feel empowered with tools and resources to help guide them as they navigate this area with their children.
