Pool Update – June 16, 2015
Starting to fill the pool - it will be done in stages...

The Sandwich Building Inspector, Paul Spiro has given approval to begin filling the pool.
This photo, taken in May, shows the sonar equipment being used to check for water under the pool.
The engineering report from the ground-penetrating sonar company indicated that the substructure was not compromised by the leakage. The pool will be filled in stages, with regular water level checks, to ensure that no additional leaks occur.
Assuming that all goes well, chemical balancing and water temperature adjustments will take a few days. Once the Building Inspector issues an occupancy permit an invitation will be extended to the swimming and diving team to come be the first to try out the new starting blocks.
