Important Dates to Note for Fall Sports – SHS & STEM Academy
- Online registration for Sandwich HS & STEM Academy fall sports is currently open. Visit the athletics website and click “REGISTER NOW” to register.
- “Paperwork & Check Drop-Off Nights” will be held on Mon., Aug. 17th and Tue., Aug. 18th from 5-7pm in the Sandwich HS front lobby. Parents/guardians should use these opportunities to deliver copies of physicals and participation fees to the Department of Athletics.
- Fall Sports Night will be held on Thu., Aug. 20th at 7pm. The meeting is mandatory for any SHS or STEM Academy student-athlete interested in participating in a sport this fall, along with a parent/guardian. Fall Sports Night will feature guest speaker, Roseann Sdoia .
- Roseann was injured in the Boston Marathon bombing on April 15, 2013 and lost her right leg. Roseann will speak to our student-athletes, parents, and coaches about perseverance and her journey since those horrific events.
The first permissible practice date for Sandwich HS football is Monday, Aug. 24th.
The first permissible practice date for Sandwich HS cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, and volleyball is Thursday, Aug. 27th.
The first team meeting/practice date for STEM Academy cross country, field hockey, and soccer will be Tuesday, September 8th. Information regarding our STEM Academy instructional Fitness and Volleyball programs will be shared later this month.
No student can tryout for any sport without a.) registering online, b.) providing payment via check, and c.) providing a copy of the student-athlete’s most recent physical before the Fall Sports Night on Thu., Aug. 20th.
