Winter Celebrations – Music and Art @ SHS

We are heading into the most wonderful time of of the year! And with that, we only hope to add more joy and music to your holiday season….so if you’re struggling with the idea that winter is coming….let us get your mind off of it with these amazing choral and band performances throughout the season from our very talented students of Sandwich High School and STEM Academy!
Here is of our list of our up-coming performance and events from the SHS/STEM Academy Performing Arts Department! Please spread the word and add all of these wonderful events to your calendar.
Friday, December 4th: Annual Sandwich Carol Sing @ 7:00pm at First Church
Sandwich Soul will sing immediately after the carol sing in front of the Daniel Webster at 8:00pm. Join us for cider, hot cocoa, cookies, and holiday music!
Sunday, December 6th: Sandwich Soul sings at the Heritage Museum and Gardens annual Gardens Aglow in the automobile museum at 6:30pm.
Monday, December 7th – Friday, December 11th: Auditions for Knight’s Theatre Company’s Spring Musical – Into the Woods.
Boys and girls encouraged from 7th through 12th grades. Please contact Melinda Lasit – or Kevin Lasit – for more information.
Thursday, December 10th: SHS/STEM Academy Choral Winter Concert at 7:00pm in the SHS Theatre. Donations accepted to help raise money for the choral program.
Saturday, December 12th: Sandwich Soul for the Holidays Special at Town Hall. As part of the inaugural season of the Glass Town Stage at Town Hall, Sandwich Soul will hold their very own holiday concert including solos, duets and group numbers from this award – winning group!
This a fundraiser concert to raise money for Soul’s tour to Florida. The concert is at 7:00pm and tickets are $15.00. All proceeds from this event go directly to the students. Please join us for this exciting evening! Special thanks to The Sandwich Town Hall Preservation Trust for sponsoring this event!
Thursday, December 17th: SHS/STEM Academy Band Winter Concert at 7:00pm in the SHS Theatre. Donations accepted to raise money for the band program.
Tuesday, December 22nd: STEM Band and Squire Choir field trip to Oak Ridge to inspire 5th and 6th grade young musicians!
Thursday, December 31st: Sandwich Soul will perform at First Night Sandwich, and will kick off the event at 4:00pm at Town Hall. Come join them in celebrating New Years Eve!
Friday, January 15th: Open Mic / Karaoke Night sponsored by Sandwich Soul. Come on out for a great family night out at 7:00pm in the SHS Theatre. Donations accepted to help Soul raise money for their tour to Florida.
