2019-2020 Calendar

The Sandwich School Committee has approved the 2019-2020 School Calendar.

Please note:

• School starts after Labor Day – on Tuesday September 3, 2019. (School Committee policy guides the first day of school. If Labor Day is on or before Sept 4, school starts after Labor Day. If Labor Day is after Sept 4th, school will start before Labor Day.)
• The 180th Day of School is Monday, June 22, 2020.  This represents the last day of school if there are no unanticipated days off. Massachusetts schools typically indicate what the last day would be if there were up to five unanticipated closings and you see those shaded on the calendar.
• Each Wednesday will feature a one hour early dismissal at each school.
• There two half days – the day before Thanksgiving and the last day of school. There are also Parent Teacher Conference Days – late starts for STEM/SHS and half days for Forestdale and Oak Ridge.
• There are two elections next year that require the schools as polling locations.  The March 3, 2020 Presidential Primary and the May 7, 2020 Town Elections
