Staff Knitting Club at Forestdale – Knitting for a Cause!

by Chris Dintino, Principal – Forestdale School
At Forestdale, a group of teachers and staff have been gathering once a month after school to visit, relieve some stress and knit for a worthy cause.
The Forestdale School Knitting Club was organized by Elise Montgomery, art teacher, and Michelle Gill, 2nd grade teacher. They worked on knitting panels that are going to be made in to blankets for homeless individuals on Cape Cod.  They are joining knitters from all over the Cape through A Great Yarn knitting shop in Chatham.  A Great Yarn is assembling all the panels into blankets that are going to Housing Assistance Corporation in Hyannis.  HAC will then distribute the blankets to needy individuals.
Forestdale School Knitters completed enough panels to be made into 4 blankets.
